Randy brings over 36 years of experience in the charitable sector, including 17 years as a YMCA CEO. From Annual and Capital Campaigns to Planned Giving and building a true Culture of Philanthropy, he understands the real-world challenges non-profits face every day—and how to address them with practical, relationship-based solutions.

Today, Randy works with non-profit organizations across Canada, offering strategic fund development planning, CRM optimization, AI training workshops, and customized tools designed to help staff save time, work smarter, and engage donors more meaningfully.

About Randy Klassen, CFRE

Randy is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE). He holds a degree from the University of Saskatchewan and is Balance Scorecard Certified in strategic planning through George Washington University. His career has included leadership roles at YMCA associations in Saskatoon, Regina, Edmonton, and Moncton, where he helped build fundraising programs.

Randy is not an AI expert by training—but he’s become a leading voice on how AI can boost productivity and capacity in non-profit teams without losing the human touch that makes fundraising work. He helps organizations integrate tools like ChatGPT into their day-to-day work, offering ethical and easy-to-understand ways to use AI that align with their values.
