Understanding the zoning codes

RU: Residential Urban Zone, primarily intended for lower-density residential development.
RL: Residential Low-Rise Zone, intended for a mixture of low-rise, multi-unit residential buildings.
PIA: Primary Intensification Area, where additional multi-unit or mixed-use development may be possible, subject to City requirements and approval.
